I know most of the bands I've had on the blog this week are probably pretty obscure and you may not have heard of them. But if you haven't heard of this next band, then you need to crawl out from under your rock and get out more. Anberlin was the last band to perform at Purple Door this year.

While I was at Purple Door, my friend Natalie and I had a chance to talk to Marc Prokopchak, the drummer of Farewell Flight. You can hear their album, Sound Color Motion here. You just need to flip through the albums to find it, really great music. Natalie gave Marc her band's business card. Purple Door 2009: I Love You to Death ~ by Family Force Five

First of all, I apologize for missing last week. I know I said I would be back in a week, and it's been two. The night I came home from the mission trip my girlfriend fell and broke her ankle, so I was with her all last week helping her with things around the house and driving her to appointments. She's recovering well. It was a small break in her ankle, but it was a really bad sprain.

Okay, let's get into the music. This past weekend I went to Purple Door 2009 arts and music festival. I though I would use some songs from some of the bands that were there. We'll start off with Family Force 5. I saw them at PD 2007 and thought they were interesting. Not really the kind of music I was into but they put on a good show and were entertaining. This year they were totally obnoxious and annoying. They were the last band to play the first night of the festival so we left early. Seriously, they sounded bad.
